Kidnappers abduct herdsmen in Abuja
Four Fulani herdsmen were kidnapped in their commune early Sunday morning in Abuja on August 15.
According to witnesses, the kidnappers in their large number came in their large number, armed with AK-47 rifles as they invaded two Fulani settlements in the community.
One of the herders, who attempted to escape, was injured and bleeding.
The Public Relation Officer (PRO) of Gwomani chiefdom, Malam Haruna Gambo, who confirmed the incident said the kidnappers succeeded in whisking away three herders.
He said one of the four kidnapped victims later escaped, even as he said one herder sustained machete cut from the kidnappers.
He said the injured herder had been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
No official reaction yet from the FCT police.
