Lookman voted Atlanta’s May-June Player of the Month

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been rewarded for his outstanding performances for Serie A side, Atlanta in the month of May and June as he has been voted as the Player of the Month for the period under review.

The club’s official website confirmed Lookman’s award on its official website on Thursday morning.

The Nigerian scored a hat-trick in Atlanta’s 3-0 win over German Bundesliga and German Cup winners, Bayer Leverkusen in the final of the UEFA Europa League on May 22.

The former Leicester City and Fulham forward beat Gianluca Scamacca and Éderson to win the Atlanta Player of the Month award.

Lookman made 27 goal involvements (17 goals, 10 assists) n the 2023/2024 campaign, four more than he attained in his debut season with Atlanta.

The nippy Atlanta winger cum attacker scored six goals and had three goals in the May and June including the strike on June 2 in the 2-3 loss to UEFA Conference League runners up, Fiorentina.

Lookman fired blanks in the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw and 2-1 defeat to Benin Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on June 7 and June 10.
