Manchester City defeat Arsenal 3-1, now top EPL table
Manchester City in a midweek away game, defeated the English Premier League leader of the season, Arsenal, 3-1, to now top the EPL table on Wednesday.
Kevin De Bruyne shot Man City into the lead in the first half of the match at the Emirates Stadium. Bukayo Saka drew level for Arsenal through a penalty. Jack Grealish restored Man City’s lead in the second half of the game.
Erling Haaland made consolidated Man City’s lead towards the end of the second half.
Meanwhile, Arsenal still have a match which may return them to the top of the table if they win. Currently, both Manchester City and Arsenal have 51 points each. Victory for Arsenal in their remaining one match will return them to the top of the table with 54 points, 3 points off Manchester City.
