Hope has finally come the way of football star Mason Greenwood. The 21-year-old former Manchester United forward is set to be offered the chance to swap international teams, according to reports reaching National Daily.

Greenwood looks for a career revival after his exit from United was confirmed on Monday. The development came after the Old Trafford club’s internal investigation.

Greenwood got all charges against him dropped in February. But United after conducting their own probe had decided to part ways with the striker.

It remains to be seen what club Greenwood will end up at next, although it is highly likely to be an overseas side, with Roma one of the teams linked to him.

At international level, Greenwood has been capped once by England but the Three Lions have not selected the player since he was arrested and charged and there is no suggestion that he will be picked by Gareth Southgate anytime soon.

According to the Daily Mail, Jamaica Football Federation are now set to offer Greenwood the chance to change his international alliance.

Despite being born in Bradford, Greenwood is eligible to represent The Reggae Boyz because he is of Jamaican descent.

FIFA rules allow Greenwood to switch from next month, provided an official approach from Jamaica is made.

Jamaica have previously tried to tempt Greenwood to pick them over England but he decided to commit himself to the Three Lions when he made his senior debut in 2020.
