NSM raises #1.2M for Journalists over COVID-19 lockdown
Nigeria Sports Mouthpiece (NSM) Rebranded the foremost Nigeria Sports WhatsApp group has raised the sum of One Million and Two hundred thousand (N1,200,000) naira which was shared among members of the platform to cushion the effect of the lockdown brought about by Covid-19,National Daily learnt.
Creator and Super Admin of the Group ,Wale Ajayi explained that NSM is more than a WhatsApp platform, our dream is to turn this into an NGO and spread the gospel of love beyond boarders.
At this difficult time, the money raised and shared among members most of which are Nigerian journalist would complement the government’s efforts in containing and bringing an end to the pandemic. We know that it is always difficult to impress men but we will continue to do our best for humanity.
“We are doing our best and the team set up to raise the funds for the palliative has achieved its aim.”
He expressed gratitude to those who contributed their money to make it happen.
Before Covid-19 lockdown, at different but difficult times to many individuals, he has singlehandedly used the platform to raise over Six Million (N6m) Naira to put smiles on the faces of Nigeria.
Wale Ajayi who is now based in Canada with his family was the Media Officer of the Nigeria Flying Eagles, the veteran journalist was Nigeria League Match Commissioner before leaving Nigeria for Canada in 2017.
The Coalition For Fund Raising, headed by Adewale Ajayi and assisted by Akinkunle Bolarinwa announced on Saturday that the contributions has risen to One million and two hundred thousand, the money which was shared same day by the member of NSM, most of which are journalists.
