Obasanjo captains team to victory in 85 years anniversary novelty match
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday led his team to 4-2 victory over the Ogun State government team in a 5 Aside novelty match at the football pitch of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State, in commemoration of his 85th birthday anniversary.
Spectators at the novelty match include the 91-year-old President of Benin Republic, Nicephore Soglo; a former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Bayo Ojo, among others.
The Ogun State Government team was captained by the Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako Oyedele.
Dr. Obasanjo attributed his fitness at 85 to the grace of God; he recommended physical exercise, medical examination, good dieting, and social interaction for the elderly to keep them healthy.
