Okonjo-Iweala calls on leaders at BRICS Summit to commit to deep WTO reform, repositioning
The Director General of the World Trade Organsiation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on Monday, called on leaders at the BRICS Summit in Brazil to commit to deep WTO reform and repositioning after years of sweeping problems under the table.

“At the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro saying hello to H.E President @LulaOficial of Brazil, H.E Prime Minister @narendramodi of India and H.E President @CyrilRamaphosa of South Africa.
“Made a strong statement on the need for Leaders to commit to deep WTO Reform and Repositioning after years of sweeping problems under the carpet.

“Called on BRICS to show leadership in taking the reform forward beyond work in Geneva.
“This was very well received with President Lula making a strong call on BRICS Leaders to support and take ownership of WTO Reform.”
