Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, celebrates her son’s medical feat

The Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is a proud mum as her son, Dr. Uchechi Iweala, just made a great accomplishment.

In a post shared on her Twitter handle, the former Finance Minister in Nigeria celebrated Uchechi for being one of the first spinal surgeons in Maryland to perform a successful navigated lumbar spinal fusion using a robot. Sharing photos of him in a theater, she wrote;

“Congratulations Dr. Uchechi Iweala, on being one of the first spinal surgeons in Maryland to perform a successful navigated lumbar spinal fusion using a robot! So proud to be your Mum! Keep it going!”
