This breakthrough followed a viral video exposing the gang’s illicit activities in the Ibadan metropolis, prompting immediate action from the Commissioner of Police.

In response, the Commissioner of Police for Oyo State tasked the Command’s Tactical Units with apprehending the culprits.
These teams promptly activated their informant networks and launched an intensive search for the gang members.
Their dedicated efforts paid off on july 12 2025, at approximately 3:30 pm, when intelligence gathered by the Command Monitoring Unit revealed the whereabouts of the suspected robbers.

Officers from the Unit successfully tracked and located the suspects on the Old Ibadan/Oyo Road, leading to their arrest.
The Police Public Relations Officer for the Command, CSP Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the arrests in a statement, emphasizing the command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents from.
Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are working to identify and apprehend any other individuals connected to the gang.
