Presidency 2023: Tinubu, Osinbajo hold consultative meeting at State House
The national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Friday held a seeming historic consultative meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo SAN at the State House, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.
Tinubu had visited Prof. Osinbajo about two weeks after his return to Nigeria from London, the United Kingdom (UK) where he had knee surgery.
The Tinubu/Osinbajo meeting may have laid to rest certain innuendoes that the vice president may have been snubbing Tinubu over speculated interests in the 2023 presidential ticket of the ruling APC. Many had insinuated that Osinbajo deliberately excused himself from visiting Tinubu in London at a time many political leaders were trooping to UK on solidarity visit to the APC national leader who was recovering from knee surgery in the UK where he spent several weeks.
Their meeting held behind closed door and the issues of deliberations were not made public. However, speculators were of the view that it was not unconnected with the 2023 presidential race.
