RCCG Pastor abducted during service

Pastor Rapheal Ayo of Resurrection Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has been kidnapped by unknown persons.
It was gathered that Pastor Ayo was kidnapped in the presence of the church members during the Sunday service at the parish of the RCCG in Kabba junction in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
Eyewitnesses said about 10 gun men stormed the church auditorium at about 9am, shooting sporadically while they ordered the congregation to lie face down. “The pastor was dragged out of the church into the bush while the abductors shot sporadically into the air to facilitate their escape.”
It was gathered that the kidnappers had contacted the church, demanding for N50m ransom for the Pastor’s released.
Meanwhile no official statement has been made by the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya.
