Senate issue Ag. President Osinbajo ultimatum over budget
No fewer than 31 agencies have spent trillions of naira without budget, and the Senate believe Acting President Yemi Osinbajo must ask the agencies to submit their budget in two weeks‘ time–or else stop spending.
The un-appropriated spending runs afoul of the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution and the Fiscal Responsibility Act.

Following a motion by the Deputy Leader, Bala Na’Allah on Wednesday, the upper house a resolved that the concerned agencies should stop further spending pending compliance.
Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, Solomon Adeola, APC-Lagos;,George Sekibo, PDP-Rivers, James Manager, PDP-Delta; Barnabas Gemade, APC-Benue, also berated those agencies for flouting the law.
