Senate to commence debate on 2019 budget March 13

The Senate has indicated its readiness to commune consideration of the 2019 budget on March 13, 2019. The budget was presented by President Muhammadu Buhari in December 2018, thereafter, the lawmakers, like other political actors in Nigeria, were pre-occupied with the electioneering campaigns for the 2019 general elections.

Meanwhile, the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, on the resumption of legislative proceedings in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, announced the readiness of the lawmakers to begin deliberations on the 2019 budget.
