Senator Shehu Sani reacts after Buhari gave Afghanistan $1 million financial support
Former Senator of Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani has taken to his official Twitter handle to react amid several backlashes after Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari gave troubling extremist country, Afghanistan $1 million financial support. Recall that in 2021, the system of government in Afghanistan was truncated after the Taliban terrorist group took over control of the country which led to the withdrawal of American Soldiers from the country.
Amid the unrest going on in the country, the report had it that Mr. President offered the country financial support of $1 million. The gesture by Mr. President has attracted a lot of backlash from Nigerians especially the Academic Staff of Nigerian Universities, who posited that the president could offer support to another country but refused to meet their demands.
Reacting to this, former Senator Shehu Sani also expressed his thoughts. According to him, he stated that he condemned the gesture by Mr. President. Speaking further, he added that the countries that also offer Nigeria financial support have their problems to cater for as well.
