UKRAINE: Russian missiles destroy aircraft repair plant in Lviv, target weapon supply route
At least one Russian missile hit a location in Lviv early Friday, according to the city’s mayor.
Mayor Andriy Sadovyi intially said on Facebook he was unable to confirm the location of the strike but it was not the city’s airport.
He later confirmed the many strikes hit an aircraft repair plant in Lviv , close to the airport, on Friday morning, according to Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.
Lviv borders on Poland, and any escalation here could call for NATO intervention.
So far, the region is the major weapon supply route to the Ukraine, and the city is where most of the foreign embassies moved to after Kyiv became a target.
