Vic, 11, due for delivery of baby by her auntie’s husband, abandoned in village
Victoria, 11, has been pregnant for months with no care since her auntie’s husband Joseph Adoyi who impregnated her at North Bank, Makurdi, was arrested.
She has been living by herself at her village Orokam, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue.
Adoyi, a security guard at the Benue State University, took the girl in when she was three.
The plight of the child mother-to-be became public when a Facebook use Andrew Obeya Adaudu posted an update on the platform December 29, asking Nigerians to help the girl.
“She comes from a humble background and can barely feed herself or attend any antenatal services. She hasn’t been able to visit any clinic since all these started (except when it was initially detected in Makurdi),’ he posted.
“From the look of things, she will be due any time soon? There is just no way this girl can have a normal delivery since her features aren’t fully developed to go through that stress
“How do we support this little girl to have a safe delivery, rehabilitation and subsequently return to school?”
