Six die in fatal accident on Lokoja- Abuja Road

Six people have lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday on Lokoja-Abuja road; while 10 other people were critically injured in the accident which occurred at about 4.00am at a curved part of the road at Ohono village.
The Kogi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Ogochukwu Ugboma, confirmed the accident, disclosing that two vehicles; a truck loaded wtih cement belonging to Dangote Cement Company and a J5 bus were involved in the accident.
He said that traffic control is ongoing at the bend to avoid disruption of traffic flow, saying that four other persons escaped unhurt in the accident.
Ugboma also attributed the possible cause of the accident to hazy whether and state of the road, adding that the injured persons were taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja for treatment while the corpses were also deposited in the morgue of the hospital.
