ONDO: Akeredolu crushes Jegede, Agboola
APC’s candidate Rotimi Akeredolu has been declared winner of the October 10 guber election in Ondo, beating his closest rival and PDP’s candidate Eyitayo Jegede with over 97,000 votes.
The Independent National Electoral Commission returning officer Prof Idowu Olayinka made the declaration on Sunday.
Akeredolu won 16 of the 18 LGAs in the state, polling 292,830—against Jegede’s 195,791 votes.
The ZLP candidate and Dep. Governor Agboola Ajayi trails behind.
