2 Influential Igbo personalities who have endorsed Tinubu’s presidential bid
The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, is undoubtedly one of the top dogs in the 2023 race to Aso Rock
Ever since Tinubu publicly disclosed his ambition to become the next president, he has been receiving several high-profile endorsements from all over Nigeria.
This article will briefly highlight two influential Igbo personalities who have endorsed Tinubu’s Presidential ambition
1. Engr Joe Igbokwe
Joe Igbokwe is an Engineer and a chieftain of the APC who is currently serving as the Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Drainage and Water Resources. Igbokwe who hails from Anambra State is an ardent supporter of Tinubu, and one of the many foot soldiers advancing the Jagaban’s interest.
2. Former IGP Mike Okiro
Former IGP Mike Okiro the Agunechemba 1 of Egbema is the first ethnic Igbo to assume the post of Police Inspector General. Since his retirement, Okiro still ranks as one of the most erudite Nigeria IGP’s with many academic laurels in his kitty. Okiro recently accepted an offer by the leaders of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group, AATSG, to become its patron for the southeast region and also described Tinubu as a friend.
