Liverpool will fight against Arsenal and PSG to sign Leicester star
Liverpool are the latest club to show an interest in Leicester City playmaker N’Golo Kante, Daily Star reports. According to the rumours, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are interested in the playmaker. The Sun notes that Wenger is very keen on the midfielder, who was named in the PFA Team of the Year for his consistent performances since signing for the unlikely table toppers for £5.6m only last summer.
However, according to Le Parisian the Ligue 1 champions met with the Leicester City midfielder’s representatives twice in April and have since returned with an improved wage after initial reluctance.
Arsenal remain keen on the 25-year-old but have attempted to negotiate a fee lower than the France international’s release clause, Furthermore, the source reports that Liverpool are willing to pay the France international’s £22 million release clause. It notes that Foxes are now resigned to losing their enforcer-in-chief having had more enquiries for Kante than either Jamie Vardy or Riyad Mahrez.
