2023: 4 prominent Northern politicians to consider for VP slot
The APC recently announced the zoning of it’s 2023 Presidential Ticket to the Southern Region. A development which translates to the fact that the Party’s Vice-presidential Candidate could emerge from the North. Below is a List of Four Strong Politicians In The North that the APC could consider as Running Mate
1. Mallam Nasir El-rufai
El-rufai is One of the strong political gladiators the APC can consider as Vice-presidential Candidate in 2023. As a Second-term Governor in Kaduna State, El-rufai has a vast experience in Politics.

Equally, he is one of the most influential politicians with a large followership in the Northern Region.
2. Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara

Honorable Yakubu Dogara, A Fourth-term House of Representatives Member who is also an Ex-Speaker of the House is One of the Northern Christians the party could consider as its Vice-presidential Candidate. He wields a major influence in Bauchi State where he hails from.
3. Governor Simon Lalong
There are Two strong reasons Lalong could be considered for APC Vice-presidential Ticket. Firstly, to balance the marginalization of the North-Central in occupying Top Political Positions. Since 1999, the Geo-political Zone has not produce a President or Vice-president.
Secondly, Lalong has a vast Political Experience. Prior to his emergence as Governor of Plateau State in 2015, He served as Speaker of the State House of Assembly.
4. Governor Babagana Zulum
If the ruling party decides to pick its 2023 Vice-presidential Candidate from the North-East, Zulum is well qualified for the job. Currently, he is adjudged as One of the best Performing Governors in Nigeria despite the Insecurity situation ravaging his State.
