Funke Akindele, an actress and the deputy governorship candidate for the Lagos Peoples

Democratic Party, has urged the state’s young to use their electoral influence in the 2023 election to effect change.

In a video posted to her Instagram page on Tuesday, she made the statement and revealed that she is Olajide Adediran’s running mate for the Lagos PDP governorship.

The renowned actress expressed her desire for Lagos to reach its full potential by saying, “Over the years, many young people have been disregarded, victimized, and injured for daring to have a dream.

“I take this occasion to criticize all well-intentioned Lagos citizens, particularly the youth. It is indeed time to maximize the power of our large number. It’s time for us to assert our legitimate position in decisions that affect our lives and our future.
