2023 Presidency: Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso will split PDP votes – Uche Secondus
It is no longer news that former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi has joined the Labour Party after resigning from the People Democratic Party.
Obi who is now aspiring the office of the president under Labour party is believe to be a threat to PDP’s bid to reclaim power from the ruling party.
Former National Chairman of the PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, told punchng.com that there is need for the party to secure the majority votes of the South. According to him the exit of Obi as well as Rabiu Kwankwaso could affect PDP chances in the two regions.
According to him, the outcome of the 2019 election is an indication that the party needs to work hard and secure more votes this time around.
“People Democratic Party has prospects in the state, which is why it has to do what is necessary to get the maximum possible from the state.” Punch Newspaper quoted Secondus as saying.
“PDP will need the cooperation of the two gentlemen to remain popular and win these states.” he added.
