Atiku Abubakar, who has not officially declared his intention to run for the presidency, is being tagged by many people as the politician that may become the PDP flag bearer, based on how strong he is and how he won the ticket in 2019 against all odds.

However, some people have taken numerous steps to disqualify him from contesting, which appears to be in vain, as Atiku appears to be unconcerned about what people are saying about him.

Many people also channel their energy to calling for the zoning of the presidency to the south in the 2023 presidency, which the PDP cabals seem not to welcome as they promised to throw the ticket open.

Firstly, Nyesom Wike, another giant politician from the South, won’t be an easy task for Atiku if he declares his intention, as many governors who are already his allies, like Seyi Makinde, Samuel Ortom, and so on, may back him up to defeat Atiku Abubakar in the presidential primary.

Apart from this, the older age of Atiku is also something that would give Nyesom Wike more advantages in the primary election if he ran. Because of his young age, Wike May gain more votes from the party members. As we all know, a younger president is what Nigerians demand in 2023.

The calling for zoning to the south that is going on in the PDP and the fact that Nyesom Wike is also giant enough to defeat any possible APC candidate in 2023 may help him a lot in snatching the presidential ticket from Atiku Abubakar.
