3 dead bodies recovered from Ojukwu varsity hostel; what police prelim investigation found
After school closed, three of the students remaining in their hostels on the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Igbariam Campus, Anambra, were found dead in a room at Goodluck Hostel during the week.
The three are already identified: Obidiaso Chidera, a 200-level political science student; Mercy, a pharmacy student; and Emmanuella, a Business Administration student.
According to witnesses, classmates looking for them went to the hostel room, and took down the door when no one responded to the knocks at the door.
Two of the lifeless bodies lay on the beds in the room while the third lifeless body was found in the kitchen.
The school authorities in a statement released confirmed the incident.
The state police command also said investigation has since commenced and the bodies have been recovered.
Substances suspected to be drugs were also recovered, according to the police.
