3 tempting offers given to Jonathan to lure him into presidential race
It is increasingly becoming clearer by the day that as far as 2023 presidential election is concerned, former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has no hiding place. This is as a result of growing calls from different strata of the country beckoning on him to contest Nigeria’s make or mar presidential election next year. The 3 undermentioned offers are tempting offers that were given to him to lure him into the 2023 presidential race by APC cabals.
1. Offer To Purchase The Presidential Form For Him
Recently, a group identified as The Middle Belt Progressive Forum pledged to buy Jonathan’s presidential nomination form in any party of his choice.
2. Offer To Fund His Campaign
In order to help convince Jonathan to summit to their calls urging him to join the 2023 presidential, a group under the auspices Youths Earnestly promised to bankroll Jonathan’s electioneering campaign. And as it is well known, presidential campaign usually runs in hundreds of millions of Naira when it comes to Nigeria’s political atmosphere.
3. Offer To Clinch The APC Presidential Ticket For Him
Few days back, a report from Sahara Reporters disclosed that the cabal comprising some members of President Muhammadu Buhari’s extended family and friends who are the powers behind the throne offered to clinch the presidential ticket of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) for Jonathan.
This group is said to have the ear of the President, influence policy-making and determine those who get major appointments. On this note, one can infer that this offer is inarguably the biggest of them all to lure him into presidential race.
