5 arrested, as police rescue 3 children abducted by bike rider
Police operatives in Abia State have rescued three children who were abducted by a bike rider in Amaoba Ime Oboro Community of the state.
The children were rescued from their abductors in Anambra and Delta States.
The command’s spokesperson, ASP Maureen Chinaka, in a statement on June 15, said that the rescue mission led to the arrest of 5 suspects, including a Reverend Sister.
“On May 10, 2024, the Abia State Police Command received a report that 3 male children, namely: Gideon Osinachi (8 years old), Obioma Divine Osinachi (6 years old), and Israel Osinachi (4 years old), were abducted by an unknown cyclist from Amoba Okoro village in Ikwuanno LGA of Abia State.
Obioma was later rescued on May 21 at Ekwulobia in Anambra State, Gideon was rescued at Nkpor in Anambra State on May 23, while Israel was rescued in Warri, Delta State, on June 13.
“The suspects include Reverend Sister Pauline Alozie (female), Chizoba DJ (female), Glory Umuna (female), Mrs. Georgina Nonye Okoye (female), and Philip Ibe (male).
