Farts sound differently due to several factors. According to Men’s health, as foods are digested in the intestines, our bodies produce gas that is released through the anus. Farting is not a crime; all of us do it.

This can sometimes be a sign of good living or a healing process going on in the body. If a patient performs surgery, after a few days of surgery, doctors usually try to find out if the patient has started farting.

If you fart, that’s a sign that your body is healing from the inside. Naturally, some of us fart at least ten times a day, but you will notice that some flatulence is so loud in such a way that you hear them from a distance.

Some flatulence is so soft that if someone is beside you, they won’t notice the sound or know where the smell comes from. If your fart sounds different, here are the reasons why:

1. The sound of your fart depends on the kind of food you eat. For instance, if you eat a lot of chicken and drink carbonated soft drinks, your fart tends to sound loud.

This is because soft drinks contain gas and chicken contains some level of protein and fat. If you drink a lot of thick yogurts, it might also change the way your fart sounds.

2. Another factor that determines how loud or soft your fart sounds is the way you position your body at the moment the gas is coming out through the anus.

If you position your body in a way that doesn’t allow a free flow of release through your anus, your flatulence might not sound louder.

3. The sound of your flatulence also depends on the level of gas accumulated in your intestinal tract. How your intestines compress to push the gas out of your body will or will not cause some vibrations in your anus.

This will determine if your fart will sound loud or not. The sound of your fart is not determined by the size of your buttock.

Some people think those who have big buttocks release the loudest flatulence. Someone with small buttocks can discharge flatulence that sounds louder depending on the factors above.

4. The sound of your fart is also determined by how your anus opens during farting. It’s like a tightened balloon that releases air.

If your anus doesn’t open very well to allow the gas to be released, it will sound louder. When your anus is well opened, your fart won’t make a loud noise.

5. You can control the sound of your fart by relaxing the reflex intestinal muscles that push out the gas. Allow your anus to open gradually for you to release the gas gently. This won’t cause a loud flatulence sound.
