You might have heard several stories of people dying during sex but have you ever wondered why? The act of intercourse (or copulation) can be draining for both parties involved and that is why the health status of both individuals involved is very important. It is even advisable that you desist from sex if you are suffering from certain medical conditions.

Different things can cause death during intercourse. Some of them include;

Drug Abuse

This is none of the most common vices many people engage in, especially those who are more interested in satisfying their partners to their detriment.

So many people abuse drugs to improve their performance during sex but this is dangerous. The usage of illicit drugs could lead to unexpected death during intercourse. Some of such individuals combine strong drugs (like narcotic painkillers) with alcohol. Some also mix sexual enhancers with alcohol. While some chronic drug users smoke marijuana or cocaine during the action. All these acts are aimed at having a climatic experience during copulation. Usage of these hard drugs are dangerous to the body and can damage the heart.

Research has also shown that some sexual enhancer drugs when combined with a nitrate-containing drug could provoke hypotension (low blood pressure) which can steer to death.

Too much consumption of narcotic painkillers can stimulate seizures; respiratory failure and even death. Narcotic painkillers should not be consumed with alcohol because they are central nervous system depressants. The use of cocaine triggers heart attack, convulsions, respiratory depression, and sudden death. To avoid these effects during sex, avoid the abuse and I take hard drugs.

Heart attack

This is another dangerous condition that can cause death during intercourse. A heart attack is a medical emergency. A heart attack usually occurs when a blood clot blocks blood flow to the heart. Without blood, tissue loses oxygen and dies. Heart attack (myocardial infarction) can occur during intercourse. Some of the risk factors for heart attack include men over 45 years, women over 55 years, people having diabetes, hypertension, people that smoke and use illicit drugs. make sure you avoid the manageable risk factors.

Research has shown that the widespread cause of death during intercourse is a patient having subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH). It’s a form of stroke, where a blood vessel taking blood to the brain bursts during intercourse. Medical experts propose regular exercises for both men and women to be fit and prevent problems that could arise during intercourse.

It is also vital that men who have erection problems and preexisting heart diseases should talk with their doctor before consuming any sex-enhancing drugs. Because these drugs increase the propensity of having a heart attack. Foods that can also increase the risk of heart attack should be avoided.
