IGP appoints new CP for Fraud Unit

The Inspector General of Police has approved the appointment of Anthony Michael Ogbizi, as the new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) Force CID.
Before his appointment, he has served in various capacity as a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) National Assembly (NASS), O/C General Investigation, FCID, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Operations (AC Ops) Delta State Police Command, O/C Counter Terrorism/General Investigation (CTGI) Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and Deputy Commissioner of Police, General Investigation FCID, Abuja.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PSFU) DSP Ngozi Isintume-Agu in a statement in Lagos said CP Anthony was appointed into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) on February 1st 1986, and hails from Obudu in Cross River State.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Political Science from University of Calabar. Also, he attended various courses in Police Staff College (psc), Anti-Narcotic Source Course Police Academy Cairo, Egypt and National Defense College (NDC) Course 23 2015.
CP Anthony is a fellow of National Defence College Alumni Association and is married blessed with children.
