Have my words not come true? – Reno Omokri reacts after Kwankwaso said he’s more qualified than Obi
On Saturday, the Presidential candidate for the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Mr Rabiu Kwankwaso, spoke during discussions on the proposed merger with Peter Obi of the Labour Party and claimed that he is more qualified than the former Anambra state governor to be his running mate in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The comments of the former Kano state governor who went on to claim that his political profile and wealth of experience having served in various capacities had helped in bringing NNPP to limelight within a short time was not well received by majority of Peter Obi supporters.
As Mr Kwankwaso has caused a stir with his remarks, Reno Omokri has taken to social media to react.
The human rights activist and political commentator revealed that when he predicted that the achilles heel of the proposed alliance between Rabiu Kwankwaso and Peter Obi of the NNPP and LP respectively, was who will become President and who would be the running mate, Peter Obi’s supporters attacked him while Kwankwaso’s people understood him..
In his words,
“3 weeks ago, I said the Achilles Heels of the NNPP/LP, Kwankwaso/Obi alliance will be who will be President. Kwankwaso’s people understood. Obidients attacked me. Have my words not come true down to the very letter? Oya, come and insult!”As things have turned, Reno Omokri’s prediction has been accurate. The merger between the NNPP and Labour Party is not an issue but the bone of contention is who emerges as the Presidential candidate.
