Updaate: Two arrested as army rescue female solider abducted by unknown gunmen
The Nigerian Army has rescued a female Lieutenant, P. P. Johnson, who was abducted by unknown gunmen in Enugu State.
It was gathered that she was abd¥cted in her hometown, Ihube, on Monday, December 26.
A military source who spoke with SaharaReporters disclosed that: “She was just conferred with the rank of Lieutenant in the Nigerian Army. She passed out on December 17 after being commissioned from the Direct Short Service Course. She was kidnapped at her home in Ibube. She travelled home for the Yuletide celebration.”
A military signal obtained on Thursday revealed that: “At about 1420hrs on 29 Dec 22, security forces rescued Lt PP Johnson who was abd¥cted by g¥nmen and taken to a forest bordering Enugu State and Ihube in Okigwe LGA Imo State on 26 Dec 22.
The master minder of the kidnap has also been arrested by security forces while efforts are ongoing to arrest the others.”
