Fuel scarcity returns to Ibadan as pump prices surge

The ancient city of Ibadan is once again grappling with fuel scarcity crisis, leading to long queues and increased pump prices.

This development has caused significant inconvenience to residents and commuters alike.

According to reports, the scarcity began last week and intensified on Monday, as numerous petrol stations closed their gates.

Areas affected include Sango, Ijokodo, Apete, Awotan, Bodija, Agodi Gate, Total Garden, Yemetu, and UI-Secretariat Road.

While a few stations are selling fuel, prices have risen dramatically.

Independent marketers are charging between N950 and N1200 per liter, while major marketers like NNPC are selling at N580. BOVAS stations have also increased their prices from N650 to N670.

The fuel scarcity has caused significant crisis and disruption to daily life, with commuters stranded and businesses affected. Residents are expressing frustration and concern over the recurring fuel crisis.
