Ogun Police arrest suspected ritualist for abducting woman
The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended a suspected ritualist, Monday Ogunniyi, over the abduction of a woman, Regina Oladeyo, in the Oja Odan area of Ogun State.
The arrest followed a complaint lodged by Oladeyo Idowu, a relative of the victim, who reported the incident at a nearby police station.
Ogunniyi, who resides in the Okegbala area of Oja Odan, was taken into custody after law enforcement officers acted swiftly on the report.
According to the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, the police team located the victim at Ogunniyi’s residence.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to abducting Regina Oladeyo. Shockingly, he also implicated himself and the complainant, alleging they were both involved in rituals that utilized human remains.
The police have commenced a thorough investigation into the case to unravel the full extent of the alleged ritualistic activities. Meanwhile, the victim has been rescued and is undergoing medical and psychological evaluation.
The Ogun State Police Command has reiterated its commitment to combating criminal activities and ensuring the safety of residents.
Spokesperson Odutola assured the public that no stone would be left unturned in bringing all those involved in the crime to justice.
