The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has once again cemented its reputation as one of the nation’s most efficient public institutions after winning the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Transparency and Efficiency Champion Award for the fourth consecutive year.

The Board topped PEBEC’s Ease of Doing Business rankings in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 — a performance officials say reflects its deep commitment to transparency, operational excellence, and service delivery.

The award was formally presented on December 2, 2025, at the State House in Abuja. Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, was represented by the Acting Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr. Omomehin Ajimijaye, who reaffirmed the Board’s alignment with ongoing federal policy reforms aimed at improving Nigeria’s business environment.

Ajimijaye noted that NCDMB’s consistent high ranking is a product of strong management direction, teamwork, and the Board’s dedication to engaging stakeholders across the oil and gas value chain. “Our processes are built around transparency, efficiency, and delivering quality service to industry players,” he said.

The 2025 PEBEC Awards and Gala Night highlighted reforms across the public sector and was chaired by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima.

PEBEC Director General, Princess Zarah Audu, commended the NCDMB for automating key operational procedures to reduce human interference — a strategy she urged other government agencies to adopt to enhance service delivery and accountability.

In addition to the top award, the NCDMB also received the Reform Champion Award. The honour was presented to Engr. Cityfaith Baribor Zorasi for his exceptional performance as the Board’s liaison officer to PEBEC.

NCDMB reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its institutional performance, deepening the implementation of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act of 2010, and advancing local industry growth in the years ahead.

The Board expressed gratitude to PEBEC for the continued recognition and thanked its staff for their dedication, professionalism, and hard work.
