Omoda & Jaecoo sales surge 123% as UK, Europe markets drive growth
Omoda and Jaecoo recorded a 123 per cent year-on-year increase in global sales in September 2026, driven by strong performances in the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy and France.
The United Kingdom emerged as one of its strongest European markets, with 22,296 registrations in September, representing a 106 per cent increase compared with the corresponding period last year.
The performance secured the brand a 6.37 per cent market share and second position among automotive brands in the UK during the month.
Jaecoo 7 was a major contributor to the growth, recording 10,813 registrations in the UK to become the country’s best-selling new-car model in September. Its cumulative registrations for the first nine months of the year reached 39,473 units.
To strengthen its presence in the British market, the company is planning to establish a research and development centre at UTAC Millbrook in Bedfordshire. The facility is expected to focus on areas including chassis tuning and advanced driver-assistance systems.
Spain also recorded significant growth, with September registrations rising 91.5 per cent year-on-year to 4,010 units. The performance lifted the brand’s market share to a record 4.3 per cent, while electrified vehicles accounted for 98 per cent of its sales in the country.

In Italy, Omoda and Jaecoo registered 4,678 vehicles in September, securing a 3.31 per cent market share. Its cumulative registrations in the country rose 256.23 per cent year-on-year to 32,945 units.
France equally contributed to the brand’s European expansion, recording combined registrations of 3,003 vehicles in September. Jaecoo accounted for 2,589 units, approximately six months after its entry into the French market.
The growing European presence comes as new-energy vehicles (NEVs) become an increasingly important driver of the company’s global performance.
NEV sales reached 53,957 units in September, representing a 184 per cent increase year-on-year and accounting for approximately 73.5 per cent of the brand’s total monthly sales.
The September results highlight Omoda and Jaecoo’s expanding footprint in Europe’s competitive automotive market, with rising registrations and growing demand for electrified vehicles supporting its international growth strategy.
