For three days, Abuja became a theatre of luxury, technology, motoring and culture as Jetour Nigeria transformed the Maha Event Centre, Garki, into a vibrant automotive playground where high-performance vehicles shared the spotlight with music, art, drama and entertainment.

The Jetour Experience Abuja 2026, held from September 22 to 24, moved beyond the traditional car exhibition, bringing together automotive enthusiasts, industry stakeholders, VVIPs, prospective buyers and lifestyle aficionados in an experience designed to redefine how Nigerians engage with automobile brands.

From test drives and technology demonstrations to spoken-word performances, acapella, violin music, Chinese cultural dances, artwork displays, panel discussions and a live stage play, the three-day extravaganza presented automobile ownership as more than a transaction but part of a broader lifestyle experience.

Adding star power to the opening day was popular Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe, popularly known as Odogwu Panrara, whose surprise appearance further heightened the excitement among guests.

But beneath the entertainment and cultural spectacle, the vehicles remained the major attraction.

Jetour Nigeria showcased an extensive range of models, cutting across conventional petrol-powered vehicles, hybrids and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). The line-up included the X50, X70 Plus, X70 PHEV, X90 Plus, T2, T2 PHEV, Dashing and G700, alongside the newly introduced T1 and F700.

The test-drive sessions proved particularly popular as visitors took the vehicles onto the tracks to assess their performance, comfort, technology and driving dynamics.

Speaking during a panel session, Managing Director of New Era AutoVehicle Services, Kemi Koyejo, said the modern Nigerian motorist was increasingly seeking vehicles that reflect individual needs and preferences.

“There is no one-size-fits-all product,” Koyejo said, explaining Jetour’s “Jet plus Tour” concept and its “Drive Your Future” philosophy, which embraces petrol, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains.

The Abuja experience also provided an opportunity for Jetour’s partners to highlight the brand’s rapid expansion in Nigeria since its entry into the market.

Executive Director of Elizade Nigeria Limited, Dr. Ademola Philip-Adewunmi, said Jetour had built a substantial and steadily expanding presence across the country within three years.

He also addressed one of the biggest concerns among Nigerian vehicle buyers — after-sales support.

According to him, Jetour backs its vehicles with a five-year or 150,000-kilometre warranty, while structured trade-in programmes and spare-parts availability provide additional reassurance to customers.

“Nigerian buyers are increasingly research-driven. They aren’t just looking at aesthetics; they are paying close attention to technology, connectivity, performance and long-term value for money,” he said.

Safety and intelligent vehicle technology also featured prominently during the event.

Corps Commander Cherries Muta of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) commended the integration of modern driver-warning systems and proximity sensors into contemporary vehicles, noting the potential of technology to support safer driving and help reduce road incidents.

For Jetour, the event was also an opportunity to reinforce its long-term commitment to the Nigerian market.

Speaking at the closing of the three-day experience, Jetour Senior Manager for Africa, Perry Huo, expressed appreciation to Nigerian consumers and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in Nigeria and other African markets.

By the time the curtains came down on September 24, Jetour had achieved more than a conventional vehicle showcase. It had brought together automotive technology, luxury, entertainment, art and Nigerian culture in a format that gave prospective customers an opportunity to see, touch, test and experience its growing model range.

For the visitors, it was three days of cars and culture. For Jetour, it was another statement of its ambition to build an automobile brand around not just what Nigerians drive, but how they experience mobility.
