Paul Pogba can lead France to win World Cup next year – Makelele
Ex-France international, Claude Makelele believes that Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba has everything he needs to lead France to win Russia 2018 World Cup.
Makelele, who played 71 times for France, believes Pogba will be a key figure for both the qualifiers and next year’s World Cup, should the Les Blues qualify.
National Daily gathered that he said, “has everything” he needs to lead France to glory at the World Cup next summer and believes he is Les Bleus’ most important player.
France will face Netherlands and Luxembourg in September as they aim to lift themselves out of Group A to qualify for next year World Cup after a 2-1 shock defeat to Sweden in June.

Makelele told Goal, “I think that now Pogba understands the responsibility that he has when with the national team,”.
He said, “I told him when I met him that he can take on the responsibility [of helping France win honours] because he is a great player. He has everything,” said the assistant manager of Swansea.
“He is tall, with great technique, he can score goals, he gets assists – he has everything. He shouldn’t be scared and he should just do the job,” He said.
Makelele wants Pogba to step up to become a leader of a young squad that includes Kylian Mbappe, Thomas Lemar and Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Pogba is in top form this season scoring two goals in his first three league games for Man United.
