Badoo kill RCCG pastor
Assailants suspected to be members of the Badoo cult killed a pastor with two big stones at Offin, in the Igbogbo area of Ikorodu, Lagos, on Sunday morning.
The dead victim, Victor Kanayo, was a pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Fingers of God Parish.
Kanayo’s wife and 10-month-old child were admitted to the Ikorodu General Hospital, after being knocked unconscious by the attackers.
The second attack in the area occurred shortly after Commissioner of Police Edgal Imohimi, held a night-long meeting with security agencies, community and religious leaders at the palace of the Ikorodu monarch, Oba Abdulrasheed Shotobi.
The meeting was on how to tackle the resumption of attacks by the cultists.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti, said investigations were ongoing into the incident, adding that some suspects had been arrested.
The group struck weekend before the last, killing a woman and her two children inside a Celestial Church of God parish in the Ikorodu suburb.
