…poised for financial, spiritual empowerment
The Abdulwahid Islamic Foundation (AIFO) has disclose resolve to engineer even societal development through exposure of muslim faithful, to faith approved basic governance principles at Ramadan.
The organisation made this disclosure in a statement jointly signed by the faith based organisation’s President Engr. Ishaq Alabi and the secretary Hon. Razaq Aderibigbe to herald the 16th edition of the foundation’s annual Ramadan lecture.
The Annual Ramadan Programme is scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 8, 2025, by 10:00 AM at Tam Royal Multipurpose Hall, Ajibola Crescent, Alapere-Ketu, Lagos.
The programme’s theme carefully couched by the event planning committee-“Governance & Humanity,” attempts to explore the principles of Islamic governance and the essence of service to mankind in order to provide valuable insights for personal, community, and national development.

Abdulwahid Islamic Foundation also hinted that two distinguished scholars-Sheikh Jumah Mobolaji Ahmad (Founder/Al-Imam, Sofwatul-Amaanah Islamic Foundation of Nigeria and Sheikh Dr. Issa Muh’d Jamiu Al-Kaosajy Al-Abtawy (Founder/Director, Al-Manial Soffy Arabic & Islamic School will be on hand to elucidate more on key issues of good governance.
The scholars will speak to two different topics; Principles of Islamic Governance: Consultation, Justice & Public Interest and Service to Mankind: The Essence of Islam.

While the first session by Sheikh Jumah Mobolaji Ahmad will highlight key Islamic governance principles such as Shura (consultation), Adl (justice), and Maslaha (public interest) and their relevance in contemporary society.
The second session by Sheikh Dr. Issa Muh’d Jamiu Al-Kaosajy Al-Abtawy will accord more focus on role of compassion, charity, and social responsibility as fundamental aspects of Islamic teachings.
Dignitaries expected at the event include: Barrister Sharaphardeen Idowu, Managing Partner, Braintree Solicitors, Hon. Dayo Bush, The Lagos State Commissioner for Water Front Development, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, the Executive Chairman Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mr. Olalekan Mutiu, the MD, Bratetek Nig. Ltd, Alhaji Nurudeen Abimbola, Hajia Amina Adams.
Others are Mr. Sherif Oladejo , the Lagos State New Nigeria People’s Party, Hajia Adams Amina, Hajia Balqees Adeshina, Alhaja Aisha Ogunyemi, Hajia Idayat sulaimon, the Founder Al-Dayyan Islamic Foundation, Engr. Afolabi Olanrewaju, Alhaji Tajudeen Taiwo, MD, Totalum Nigeria Ltd, Sheikh AbdulRafi’I Babatunde Awwal, Sheikh AbdulGafar Olodan, Sheikh Waheed Adebayo, Sheikh Toliat Muh’d Murtada, and other Muslim clerics.
In line with its commitment to community development, the Abdulwahid Islamic Foundation will also provide financial grants to Alasalatu Groups, supporting their access to finance and ensuring their sustainability.
According to the Foundation’s President Engr. Ishaq Alabi this year’s Ramadan programme, “seeks to foster a deeper understanding of Islamic governance and humanitarian principles.
“Support Alasalatu Groups through financial empowerment.
“Promote unity and knowledge-sharing within the Muslim community.
“We invite scholars, professionals, policymakers, and the general public to join us for this impactful event.”
