Abiodun convinces Dangote to build cement plant in Ogun after Amosun’s rejection
It has been revealed how Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State convinced the President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, to build $585 million cement plant in the state after former Governor Ibikunle Amosun was said to have rejected initial proposal by Dangote.
In a communication channel, it was revealed that “Dangote approached Ogun State Government under Ibikunle Amosun to build a ~$ 585million cement plant in Itori.
“Amosun demolished it twice, including the fencing the second time, then Dangote left.
“@DapoAbiodunCON came on board and pleaded with Dangote to return.”Today, the plant is nearing completion.
“The plant will have two 6000t/day clinker production lines covering limestone crushing to cement packaging and shipping.
“The plant will begin operations sometime next year.”
