Adebayo congratulates Oyebanji on second term, urges inclusive development in Ekiti
Lagos-based legal practitioner and Senior Partner at Tope Adebayo LP, Tope Adebayo, has congratulated Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his inauguration for a second term, urging him to intensify efforts towards inclusive growth and improved living standards across the state.
Adebayo described Oyebanji’s re-election in the June 2026 governorship election as a significant milestone in Ekiti State’s political history, noting that the renewed mandate presented an opportunity to consolidate existing achievements and address outstanding development challenges.
In a congratulatory statement, the legal practitioner expressed confidence that the governor’s second term could deliver greater economic opportunities, strengthen public institutions and improve the welfare of residents.
“I congratulate Governor Oyebanji and the good people of Ekiti State on this important milestone. A second term brings both the opportunity to build on existing achievements and the responsibility to respond even more effectively to the aspirations of the people,” Adebayo said.
Oyebanji secured 319,224 votes in the June 2026 governorship election, according to the figures cited in the statement, winning across all 16 local government areas of the state.
Adebayo acknowledged the administration’s initiatives in infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare and the welfare of workers and pensioners.
He particularly highlighted the development of the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport, alongside government efforts to promote skills acquisition, expand agricultural participation and strengthen public services.
However, he stressed that the success of governance should be measured not only by the number of projects completed but also by their lasting effects on the lives of citizens.

According to him, the administration should prioritise translating public investments into tangible benefits, including employment opportunities for young people, stronger businesses and improved economic conditions for households across the state.
“The enduring success of governance is reflected in the lives it improves, the opportunities it creates and the institutions it strengthens for future generations. I look forward to seeing Ekiti continue to advance in these areas,” he added.
The lawyer noted that the governor’s second term offered an opportunity to deepen the relationship between infrastructure development and the broader economic well-being of residents.
He also emphasised the importance of sustaining progress in public services and ensuring that development initiatives benefit communities across the state.
Adebayo wished Oyebanji wisdom, strength and success as he begins his second term, expressing hope that the administration would continue to promote peace, prosperity and a better quality of life for the people of Ekiti State.
