Agege residents ready to vote – Opeifa
The Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Kayode Opeifa, has said residents of Agege local government are ready to vote, saying that the election would be peaceful.
It would be recalled that local government elections are ongoing in all 57 councils in Lagos.
Speaking with journalists on Saturday at his residents in Ward D, Opeifa expressed confidence in his party, saying the performance of the party in Lagos would enhance APC victory.
He added that voters would turn out when the election officials arrive, saying the residents have reasons to vote.
As at 9:30am it was observed that, no election officials and materials at polling units around Alaagba, Mulero and Agbotikuyo areas.
Meanwhile, voters were sighted hanging around the polling units expecting the arrival of the polling officers.
