According to a tweet she made on her verified twitter handle, Aisha Yesufu made it known that it will be difficult for her to count ₦20 million to buy form to contest for a position to come and serve the people. She went on and stated it clearly that it is not about the service, but it is about the access.
Based on what Aisha Yesufu has just said here, she made a vital point. It’s very difficult for someone to spend such amount of money to buy form and still want to serve the people. The first thing the person will do is to get back all the money he or she spent during the election, including the interest, before the person will start thinking of how to serve the people.
Accessing public offices in Nigeria is too expensive and that is the major reason why youths find it so difficult to contest for any political post.
