Akwa Utd striker ties nuptial knot in Lagos
The year 2018 has been a splendid year of great blessings and achievements for Akwa United prolific striker Victor Mbaoma who on Saturday 20th October quit bachelorhood and got married to his sweetheart Patricia Ogwu in Lagos.
At the wedding ceremony which took place at St. Luke’s Military Catholic Church Odogunyan Barracks, Ikorodu Lagos, the Priest Rev.Fr. Lt. Patrick Magaji advised the couple to always pray together as husband and wife and allow God to lead them in all they do.
Fr. Magaji emphasis that love, respect for each other and good communication between couples is the foundation of fruitful and blissful marriage.
The former Remo Stars Captain joined the Promise Keepers in the just concluded NPFL season and scored eleven goals in three competitions for the Uyo based side.
The sharp shooter who early this year received invitation to the camp of the Home Based Super Eagles also made his debut at the continental level with Akwa United in the CAF Confederation Cup competition.
Mbaoma described his spouse as ” a true friend, companion and a lover with a golden heart that means the world to me”.
Akwa United football club was well represented at the ceremony. The team manager Sir Emmanuel Udoh led a strong delegation including Captain Otobong Effiong, Coach Abasiakan Windy, Accountant Mary Akapidiok, Elder Israel Harry, Mr Monday Solomon and Media Manager Mfon Patrick to the ceremony, which was also attended by team mates Godspower Igudia, Jamiu Alimi amongst others.
Family, relatives, friends, professional colleagues and football stakeholders who attended the event were treated to music, dance and sumptuous meal at the wedding reception.
