Amidst flow of wine, rain of naira, drunk police officer kills 2 at “Asiwaju’s” birthday party
A policeman invited to secure attendants of a birthday party ended up shooting two dead as wining and dining and spending got underway.
The incident happened at a bar in the Gowon Estate, Alimosho, Lagos.
Eyewitnesses said the officer ate and drank his bellyful, then got up and started shooting.
The two dead casualties were splashing naira notes on the celebrant, identified as Ifeanyi aka Asiwaju of Computer Village, when they took the bullets.
In video going viral, bodies spread out lifelessly on the floor already smeared with blood amidst chaos of chairs and tables.
Lagos police command’s spokesman SP Benjamin said the shooting at the bar happened on Sunday night and two persons were killed.
“We are investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting. I can assure you that those responsible will not go free. They will face the music,’ he said.
