Anambra Election: Lives of corpers matter—- Northern Christians warn INEC

We are not against election, but where insecurity abounds leave corpers out of it, the National Youth Leader, Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians (CNNC), Engr. Daniel Kadzai has said.

Kadzai who spoke to our correspondent Friday, warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), not to jeopardies the lives of corpers who have spent years in the university only to killed in a situation that could be avoidable.

It would be recalled that some National Youth Service Corps, (NYSC), members in Anambra State have vowed to steer clear of the forthcoming governorship election over constant threats from the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Also recall that the Federal Government had warned that it may be forced to impose a state of emergency in Anambra to ensure peaceful conduct of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

President Muhammadu Buhari had also instructed service chiefs to make sure nothing stops the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State from holding.

However Kadzai advised that if all plans to hold peaceful elections in Anambra fails, government should postpone the polls, dialogue with stakeholders and fix another date rather than exposing innocent children to avoidable danger.

“Government should hold talks with relevant stakeholders and fashioned out ways to conduct peaceful elections devoid of violence”, he said.

Kadzai advised youths not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to perpetrated violence during elections.
