APC not disturbed by nullification of primaries in Rivers
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State have declared that they are not disturbed by the nullification of the party primaries where candidates emerged for the 2023 general elections.
At APC’s stakeholders meeting in Port Harcourt, one of the party’s stalwart was confident that the APC will be on the ballot in Rivers State and will win all the elections in the state.
APC stakeholders protested that the nullification of the APC candidates by Justice E.A.Obile due to the exclusion of George Orlu and others was not strange. They argued that even when there are records that the plaintiffs were no longer members of the APC and that they were not joined in the suit, the Judge went ahead and nullified the party’s primaries. They declared that the judgement will not stand the test of time at the higher courts.
The APC stakeholders accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of fueling the court judgement against the APC in Rivers State. They were of the view that the PDP using the court process to slow down the APC in Rivers for the 2023 elections.
They assured party supporters that the APC will be on the ballot in 2023.
