Arsenal’s New signing Merino out for Two months with shoulder Injury
Arsenal’s new signing, Mikel Merino, is expected to be sidelined for two months due to a fractured shoulder suffered during his first training session with the club.
Arsenal’s recent midfield acquisition, Mikel Merino, is expected to be sidelined for the next two months due to a fractured shoulder suffered during his first training session with the club.
The Gunners signed the 28-year-old Spanish international from Real Sociedad for £31.6 million.
However, just before their match against Brighton, Arsenal announced that Merino would be out of action due to the injury.
According to reports, Merino underwent a scan that confirmed the fracture, and he is expected to return to action after the October international break.
The midfielder previously admitted that he was unsure of the extent of his injury following a training ground collision with Gabriel Magalhaes.

Arsenal’s midfield crisis has been further compounded by the red card to Declan Rice, who will serve a one-game ban.
With Fabio Vieira on loan to Porto, the Gunners now have just three available senior midfielders: Thomas Partey, Jorginho, and Martin Odegaard.
Kai Havertz, who has been excelling as a striker, could potentially drop back to midfield if needed.
Merino’s absence will be a significant blow to Arsenal’s midfield options in the coming weeks.
