Kano Fire Service responds to 32 emergency calls in August
The Kano State Fire Service (KFS) successfully handled 32 emergency calls across its 29 fire stations throughout the state during the month of August 2024.
The service responded to 21 fire incidents and 11 rescue operations, with no false alarms reported.
Despite the challenges, the KFS was able to save properties worth approximately N102,950,000, while the estimated value of properties destroyed by fire amounted to N47,800,000.

Unfortunately, three lives were lost during the operations, but the swift actions of the fire service personnel also saved three lives.
The KFS Public Relations Officer, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, urged the public to exercise caution when handling fire to prevent such incidents.
He also called on motorists to drive carefully and adhere to traffic laws to minimize the risk of road accidents.
